to explore and discover the benefits of meditation and creativity
The Adventure of Your Amazing Life
This 10-day journey only has one point to it, and that is to help you discover how wonderful it is to be yourself. Living your life in your body, here and now, on our amazing planet. Sharing your life, your feelings, and the gifts of your soul with family, friends, and the world, as well becoming more self-reliant to shine out your best at home and school. We hope that your grown-ups and teachers will join you on this journey and share these magical moments of life with you.
These meditations and creative sessions will help you connect with your true spirit, with your life, and with your sense inner adventure and love. Each day we will try out easy, vibrant practices so that you can find what works best for you. We’ll look at how you can express yourself creatively in different ways, you will meet your feelings and learn how to feel what you feel more clearly - and we’ll gift you a word of the day for you take with you in your pocket to reflect on throughout the day.
These sessions are for young people aged 7-13, but they would also be of benefit to grown-ups of any age wishing to joyfully explore their lives, their mind and feelings, or their inner child.
This journey is based on one of the programmes that John has been sharing with children like yourself for over twenty-five years when visiting schools. The sessions have been so successful that they were featured on the BBC News.

Course Details
Session One - Learning My Breath
Today you will discover how important your breath is. Something I see repeatedly when I work with children and grown-ups is that very few people about how important their breath is. I know it sounds crazy, but it is true. So today you will learn how to begin meeting your amazing breath in a way that will make you feel happier and give you a better sense of yourself.
Session Two - Investigating Nature
In today’s session we are going to get curious about nature. It doesn’t matter if you have a forest to walking in or only one blade of grass growing through the sidewalk to look at, it is all life, and that is what today is all about, seeing life in nature. Connecting with nature is the greatest teacher anyone can have, maths is great, writing is great, reading books is a miracle, knowing how your body works and our society functions are so important. But being connected to the nature around you can show you something so special it is almost to hard to talk about - It can show us how to be.
Session Three - Relaxing at Bedtime
Please do this session when you get into bed. This is a simple meditation that will take you through your body to help you feel safe and happy, and float off to sleep, in a lovely easy way so that you can rest, heal, grow, and be the amazing you that you are.
Session Four - A Flower In My Heart
This wonderful meditation will help you feel whole and open to life. It will help you relax, be creative, and it will allow you meet your feelings better. I call it the Heart Flower practice, and I can’t wait to share this with you. I’ve shared this practice with many hundreds of children in schools over the years and it changes things for the better very quickly.
Session Five - Feeling My Feelings
Our question for today is ‘How are you feeling?’
Sometimes we don’t know what we are feeling but we find ourselves doing things almost as if something is pushing us along. At other times we have feelings that are so big they don’t feel like the can fit inside us, and sometimes we have feelings we do know and understand, and some are lovely, and some of them hurt. Feelings make our day what it is. Our feelings are one of the most important things we have, and it is good to begin to learn about them. Learn about the way we react and respond, how feelings work and what we can do as they come and go.
Session Six - Lighting The LIGHTS
This is probably one of the most helpful meditations there is. It will put you right into the centre of yourself. Not only that, but it will also help you feel whole, to grow, help focus your life energy, and what is most amazing is that all of this is already inside you. I promise that you will feel alive, calm, and here as yourself so that you can study, play, be with people, and be on your own in your best most amazing self, shining in your full power.
Session Seven - Paint Yourself The Heart You Desire
Today’s session is a creative one so you will need some paper or a notebook and some colours. You can paint or draw or write during this session. We are going to return to our heart flower practice, and while we meditate together you can draw or paint from your meditation what feel and see inside yourself. You might want to sit at a table so that you can set up a place to be creative.
Session Eight - Dance Yourself The World You Want
No meditating or writing or drawing today in the usual sense. Instead, we are going to dance our feelings, and this will be our meditation.
This is a brilliant way to feel whole, and to process your feelings when you happy, sad, stuck, bored, or you don’t know how you feel. This is one of the most fun things I can share with you. This kind of dancing is great to do on your own in your room, or with your friends or parents or guardians. I’ll guide you through the whole thing, get ready to laugh whether you want to or not.
Give yourself plenty of space and let’s start to move.
Session Nine - Two Secrets
Grab your notebook - Today I want to share my two greatest meditation secrets with you, and I want you to keep these to yourself, so please don’t go sharing them. These secrets are the difference between really having a good life of your own, or just going along with things the way they always have been. I’m not going to write them here for all to see, you’ll have to press play to find out. So hit that button.
Session Ten - Over to You
In our final session you are invited to sit in your awareness while we have a quick look at our journey so far. Then we will expand our awareness to bring loving kindness to ourselves, the people, animals, and places you love and know, then because of the beauty of your heart space we allow all of life to be held in our hearts, even our wonderful planet and all of time and space - realising that we are part of the wholeness of life and life is us.
